CERTIFICATE IN ARABIC STUDIES
This course is exclusively designed for those who are keen to achieve general competency in Arabic studies.
Al Misbah Academy was given the privilege of collaborating with the prestigious University of Malaya in 2018.
University of Malaya (UM) is the top public university in Malaysia and it is also ranked #70 in QS World University Rankings 2023.
Al Misbah Academy has successfully trained and developed 2 cohorts of certified Arabic studies students who appreciates the knowledge of Arabic language through this programme which they have attended.

Registration Fee: $120 SGD
Monthly Course Fee: $150 SGD

Age requirement:
15 years of age and above
Class is conducted fully in English.
No prior knowledge of Arabic language or Islamic knowledge is required.
Materials & lesson notes would be provided.

Course Objective

Learn to read, listen and speak Arabic pertaining to day to day activities

Be trained to write good prose in Standard Arabic, i.e prose that is clear and accurate in its expression of thought and argument

Develop capability to apply and analyse passages of Classical Arabic prose and Conversational Arabic
Course Structure
This programme develops an individual's Arabic comprehension through interactive lessons by introducing Arabic grammar, vocabulary and culture through reading, writing, listening and interesting active role plays.

Exposure to the Arabic vocabulary, grammar and phrases

Basic structured Arabic language morphology (how different elements relate to each other and how their relations affect meaning)

Application of grammatical rules and syntax (nahw & sarf)

Understanding of Arabic sentence construction

Examinations are conducted at the end of every module.
Qualification
Students who successfully completed each module will received a Certification of Completion from
University of Malaya.
