Reviving Our Intellectual Tradition​
Al-Misbah Academy Presents "Reviving Our Intellectual Tradition". This month's Thought Provoking Series will be conducted by Hasanul Arifin, PhD candidate at the Raja Zarith Sofia Centre for Advanced Studies in Islam, Science, and Civilisation (RZS-CASIS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
The Thought Provoking Series by Al-Misbah Academy is a series of lectures presented by recognized and reputable professors from Singapore aiming to cultivate the culture of productive thinking Muslims.

In this session, Hasanul Arifin will cover the meaning of revival in Islam, the concepts of Islamic Intellectual Tradition and how do we revive them.

Speaker:
Hasanul Arifin
PhD candidate at the Raja Zarith Sofia Centre for Advanced Studies in Islam, Science, and Civilisation (RZS-CASIS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
He holds a Master of Philosophy in Islamic Civilisation from the same institution, and his thesis was published in 2019 under the title "Al-Ghazali and Academic Excellence".

His research interests include the works of the eminent contemporary thinker Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas, educational philosophy, philosophy of science and mathematics, and civilizational history, especially the history of Islam in the Malay world.
